One Foot In The Grave

LP

Thisclose came into being in 2012, a product of the shared vision of founding members Rodney Shades and Sunny De Beat, who wished to create music inspired by the legendary Discharge. However, rather than draw only from the over-dredged well of the classic 1980-82 era for inspiration, they chose to actively focus on the less popular 'Pooch' era style and, controversially, the much maligned and ridiculed vocal stylings of 'Grave New World'. So, whilst having a name strongly reminiscent of Japanese D-beat masters Disclose, there is little similarity in style, rather a slavish devotion to all things Dis shared with the late, great Kawakami (RIP)
