RATTUS
WC Räjähtää
Digi CD
WC RÀjÀhtÀÀ is one of the greatest classics of Finnish hardcore and, after 43 years, Criminal Attack Records proudly re-releases it on CD. Recorded in 1982 and originally released in 1983 by Poko Records, WC RÀjÀhtÀÀ captures a crucial moment in the evolution of RATTUS: the transition from D-beat to a faster, more direct and condensed hardcore, heavily influenced by American hardcore punk, but already carrying the unique characteristics that were beginning to define the Finnish sound in the early 80s. Unlike later recordings, here the band still operates on the boundary between influence and its own identity. WC RÀjÀhtÀÀ is a historical document of Finnish hardcore and an essential landmark for world punk. The re-release comes in a special 3-panel digipak edition, containing historical and unpublished photos, a brief account by bassist Tomppa about the time of the album, and the original liner notes, doing justice to its importance. All 14 tracks on the album were fully remastered in the USA by Jack Control (Severed Head of State / World Burns to Death) at Enormous Door Mastering studio. A classic of this magnitude could only have a cover to match: the artwork was created by the legend PUSHEAD (Septic Death), also responsible for work for bands like Metallica, Misfits and Kylesa, among others. A historic and essential item for all collectors of classic punk albums worldwide!
