Its their first 10" in 5 years and only their third ever in a long history of vinyl releases...and better yet, its got nothing on it but unreleased material! The title track is an updated and slightly re-titled version of a "Mammoth" from the band's debut EP which, they recorded in Washington state on an off date of the Taste of Chaos tour back in early 2006. The b-side "End of Seasons" might be the oddest bit in Pelican's growing repertoire...in this case courtesy of the man well known to those in and out of the electronic world as Prefuse 73. Something rightly struck his fancy with what he heard by the band and next thing you know he's come up with a this puppy...a remix/mashup of sorts combining the un-titled track from FIOT and "Aurora Borealis" from Australasia. in some damn nice packaging...in this case a tip on 10" jacket, heavy weight vinyl, full color labels and heavy weight innersleeves.
