LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER
Buscando Una Resquesta
LP
While many grindcore releases are fast and chaotic, the large majority also suffer the condition I like to call everythingonthealbumsoundsthesame-itus. Each song just seems to be a new variation of the same track, with the same beats, same riffs, same vocal styles, same everything. Luckily, that isnt the case at all with Buscando Una Respuesta as each song has its own sound and feel with no two tracks sounding the same with multiple breakdowns and tempo changes strewn throughout. If anything it sounds like youre listening to a compilation CD featuring 15 different grindcore acts. Buscando Una Respuesta was originally released on vinyl in 2003 with the material being recorded as a three-piece with a drum machine handling the percussion duties. While the originators of grindcore have likely seen their best days, Im glad there is new blood taking the music to the next level, and with Kill The Client and Looking For An Answer leading the way, I think extreme music has a very promising future.
