Brasil Import/ Criminal Attack Records is proud to present a historic encounter between two institutions of the global underground: the Brazilian band AÇÃO DIRETA and the German band JAPANISCHE KAMPFHÖRSPIELE. A partnership built on decades of mutual respect, strengthened during Ação Direta's tour of Europe in 2024, when the band reunited with their old German friends and initiated this special project. On one side, AÇÃO DIRETA delivers 6 tracks, maintaining intact their explosive combination of hardcore and political punk that for over three decades has made the band one of the most important names in the Brazilian underground scene. On the other, JAPANISCHE KAMPFHÖRSPIELE contributes an impressive 18 tracks, reaffirming all the creativity, brutality, and personality that have transformed the group into one of the most respected and original bands in European grindcore. JAPANISCHE KAMPFHÖRSPIELE is one of the most unique names in German grindcore. Formed in 1998 in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, the band built its reputation by mixing extreme grindcore, acidic humor, irony, and social criticism, creating its own identity that defies genre clichés. After a hiatus between 2011 and 2013, the group returned and remains active to this day. Combining the violence and speed of grindcore with technical passages, unpredictable tempo changes, and a characteristic sense of acidic humor. Celebrating 39 years of activity in 2026, AÇÃO DIRETA remains one of the most important, long-lived, and influential bands in Brazilian hardcore punk. Since 1987, the group has maintained its independent and combative stance, conveying messages of resistance, social awareness, and protest through an intense sound that unites hardcore, punk, and crust. Over almost four decades, the band has built a solid trajectory both inside and outside Brazil, becoming a true reference for generations of musicians and fans of the underground scene. Released on Digi CD by Criminal Attack Records, this split features 24 completely new tracks, representing the best of two bands that helped shape the underground in their respective countries.
