INFECT
Discografia 1998 - 2003
LP
Brasil Import. INFECT was a hardcore punk band formed in 1998 in São Paulo, standing out as one of the most intense and relevant names in the Brazilian underground scene in the late 90s and early 2000s. With an all-female lineupsomething rare in the scene at the timethe group quickly gained notoriety for the speed, aggression, and political stance of their music. Part of the Latin American fastcore/thrashcore wave, INFECT presented an extremely fast, raw, and direct sound. Their lyrics addressed themes such as social inequality, feminism, gender oppression, and resistance, becoming a symbol of protest within a predominantly male scene. During their short but intense career (19982003), the band released several records in different formats, including EPs, splits, and singles, in addition to the full-length album *Indelével*. These works were distributed both in Brazil and abroad by important DIY labels, such as 625 Thrashcore Records, expanding their international reach. After approximately five years of activity, the group ended its activities in 2003, leaving a significant legacy for the national hardcore punk scene. Even with its premature end, INFECT's impact remains alive, and through this vinyl release, "Discography 1998-2003," it brings together 35 furious tracks, reinforcing its historical importance as one of the most authentic, politicized, and influential bands in Brazilian hardcore. Luxurious final product in a gatefold cover (double cover), translucent red vinyl, insert, and sticker. Artwork completely redesigned by Alexandre Kool. And executive production by Bruno Foca. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
