GUNS LIQUOR AND WHORES

Do you know of the Canadian band Under Pressure that during the last few years have released records through Yellow Dog and Sound Pollution among others? Well, GxLxWx was that band before they changed their name. Originally released by Swedish label Putrid Filth Conspiracy six or seven years ago, this slab of ten inch vinyl contains eleven tracks of vicious Canadian hardcore anger played with furious intensity and the middle finger proudly pointed at the world. Fast and chaotic hardcore thrash, but always in a dynamic way. I seem to remember that they caught some heat in MRR for their band name, but don't worry, they had their heads screwed on straight writing the lyrics to songs like "Another Fucking Hardcore Clique", "Cowards Romanticizing Violence" and "Scene Killer". The album was apparantly recorded on a 4-track under difficult circumstances, but it sounds great with its full and brutal recording. They even had the good taste of covering not only Turbonegro, but also "Sick-O" by Infest
