Come to Grief
CD
"This is Boston's answer to Eyehategod. I have been a fan of Grief since 92'. By this point the band was evolving to obnoxiously slow tempos, low tuned guitars and throaty screams that will have Mike from Eyehategod running for cover. There are moments where they pick up the crawl to a mid-tempo toe tapping shuffle reminscent of such bands as Sabbath. The most interesting thing about this is the utter simplicity of the riffing- which for some reason really works. Rarely do these guys steer away from power chord riffing in favor of an occasional guitar "harmony". If you love painfully slow music like Corrupted, Eyehategod, Melvins, and the like, you'll get where these guys are coming from." CD Version contains a bonus track.
