The ACTIVE MINDS folks are back with a brand new album chock-full of anarchopunk rage! The songs are heavy, along the lines of mid-90s OI POLLOI, with a twinge of DOOM in the mix. Unlike a lot of modern “anarcho” bands that fail to go really in depth with their political statements, ACTIVE MINDS have completely filled the booklet with lyrics and highly in-depth explanations including personal reasons for writing each song. Impressive for sure. I must say I’m a big fan of the clever wordplay in the song titles too (In God We’re Trussed; The Holy Babble for example) – must be that ever-present British wit!
